Do Euro countries not know how to check?

I haven't seen too many hockey games here but from what I have seen the Euros don't check NEARLY as much as the North American teams.


I mean if you watched US vs. Latvia we were dropping them to the floor every time they even tried to touch the puck. The whole time I was thinking why aren't the Latvians checking back?


Now I'm watching Sweden and Latvia and they play like the women. 0 checking. Its like we take a US football approach to the sport and the Euros take a soccer approach to it (less contact, faster pace).

No, it's just that amis are pansies who are too scared to do a real combat sport like boxing, and have to vent their frustration in an enviroment where they don't have to fear to get beaten to a pulp (like hockey).
