Scientists and extreme opinions

Name: Anonymous 2013-01-13 15:31

Does anybody know of any scientists who are holding / were holding extreme opinions on life/religion/whatever? Stronger than “I’m an atheist”, I mean; more like “I don’t believe in God and whoever does is a moron”. Or “…whoever doesn’t is a moron”.

Thanks.

Theologists invented the concept of evolution and the big bang. How strange it is that several years later that they go against what they themselves stated. Hypocrisy? Or much more? Some theologists abuse the authority of the pulpit to insist that video games are the cause of all evil. This is ridiculous.

Do you know a shit about theologist? They're not religion biggots or fanatics. I was in a catholic college (not into religion, but it was the best in the country for what I'd studied) and not a single student who was following religion science or theology courses (that's not the same, too) believed the evolution or the big bang are false theories.

Moreover, a huge proportion of the students and professors were religious (not only catholic but muslim, jew, etc.) and few of them didn't followed those thoeries or it was for very good reasons (not hurr durr earth is 3000 years old). Actually, the ones who were the more extreme were the few atheists we had.

And to answer to >>1, everybody know that Watson is extreme on barely all points of view (racism, homosexuality, women's right) but there's also Pierce and Shockley.

God does not belong to Science. You can not say anything about God through Science. Science is a part of law that God creates in this world, no more than that.

God (most likely) is a men-made concept that as an entity doesn't exist in the real world, no more than that.

FTFY.

Purchasing 16 apples and eating 12 is not normal. But on Math it is. Math: Not even once.

Blood Samples were spun at 1500 rpm because the centrifuge made a scary noise at higher speeds.

Our Sampling locations happen to be resort tows because field work doesn't have to be mud and agony.

Also it turns out that there is a limit to the number of chemicals we can bring into the lab because of the government's paranoia about terrorist watch-list purchases.

Don't change these.
