Statistical Analysis

Name: Anonymous 2012-11-06 19:14

Hey, so I feel like an idiot not being able to figure this one out, but what type of statistical analysis should I be using to interpret the results of a behavioral study done on grain beetles. Basically I was testing gravitaxis and phototaxis. I have data for number of insects that went to the high side of a container vs low side of the container when the container was in the dark, in the light, when only the high side was dark and when only the low side was dark. I also measured the number of insects that went to the dark side of a level container verses the light side. What test should I be using to determine if the slope and light had a significant effect on the beetles behavior?

Thanks.

What's that one function that looks like the square root of x except it just ends after a little bit? It's annoying the heck out of me that I can't remember what it is.

Do you mean? (√x)² this would be like, (x²+x²+x²)²...etc, shot in the dark.

Depends on what temp they need to thrive vs whether they are merely attracted to the light

Don't change these.
