Q: Suppose fn(x)=x^n on an interval of [0, inf) where f(0)=0, show that the function is monotone inc and continuous (without eps/delta).  -- Chapter help needed, I think I have monotone inc done, just not cont.

n is an integer? you'll need epsilon delta for n=1. then use the fact that a product of two continuous functions is continuous, and proceed by induction. But it's not clear what you can use, given that they tell you not to use epsilon & delta.
