Bacteria converts carbon emmission to fuel?

Name: CuriouslyRetarded 2012-03-31 12:49

A team at University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) have genetically engineered a microorganism that converts carbon dioxide into isobutanol and 3-methyl-1-butanol, both of which could be used as a fuel source for cars, or other combustion engines.

>so any input from /sci/ ? and if you could find some articles on this or something that would be great.

It would be nice if it was true and they could make enough of it to eat up all of the excess co2 and possibly some of the normal co2 so that the planet can expend the energy that has been added to its system from all the excess co2 trapping more infrared radiation.

It would be nice if we had an emission-less, propellant-less engine so that we don't even have to puke out emissions from transport.

we should reduce our gravity. think about it ! it saves enormus amounts of energy if g lim->0 !!!

Don't change these.
