The chakras of the energy body are coded to the colors of the rainbow. The first three chakras, red, orange and
yellow, deal with sexuality and survival, personal relationships and formalized relationships such as those which
come with our birth family, our marriage and our work environment.
Then comes the green-ray chakra, the chakra of the heart. In order for the heart to open, the first three chakras need
to be open and running full power. So our task is set before us: we need to be sure that the above issues are not
throwing us into fear, worry or over-concern and therefore blocking or narrowing the pathway of light/love through
the energy body
"“An entity may rest in faith for a whole life long knowing that all is well, without ever leaving the sanctity of the
open heart. Indeed it is not necessary to work with the gateway to intelligent infinity in order for a seeker to live a
life of highly polarized service to others and to graduate into fourth density when the time comes.
“The heart and its energy center hold the key to moving forward with the evolution of mind, body and spirit, in
that the heart is that sanctuary in which the immediate presence of the one infinite Creator is always available.
Indeed, it is the nature of the green-ray energy center to be sanctified and utterly positive, resounding with the
vibrations of unconditional love.”
So, to get ready for 2012, it is very helpful to spend as much time as you can in this sanctuary of the open heart,
where time falls away to reveal the present moment.
The Q’uo group says, on January 26, 1996,
“How can one find this present moment? We suggest often the practice of regular contemplation or meditation, for
within silence there is that key which unlocks the doors of attention. And into that sanctum sanctorum of the open
heart, silent and listening, there resides the Creator whose name is Love.
“We encourage each to form the habit of silence on a regular basis, for that voice which speaks in silence is that
which gives life and peace. We do not say that it gives wisdom. Rather, we suggest that it works little by little to
open the heart and the awareness to the presence of love.”
Next week I will conclude this present series of articles with a good look at forming and developing the habit of
seeking the silence.
I open my arms and embrace your spirit! The vessels in my arms come straight from my heart, so my hug is not a
simple gesture but the transfer of love directly from my heart to yours. Go ahead – hug me back! It feels so good!
And let us all hug life with thankfulness and joy as we play the Game of Life!

The fourth Chakra is located in the centre of the chest,
over the heart.
This Chakra governs our ability to enact our vocation
and live our life lovingly.
The colour associated with this Chakra is
vivid green.
The fourth Chakra is about compassion, service and vocation. It is about acting lovingly. It is our "centre," and the first of the spiritual Chakras. The first three are considered "physical."
This Chakra opens as we are able to see beyond ourselves and become of service to others through "self-centered selflessness." Vocational thinking tells us that we are here to be of use, not to use others or to be used by others.
Blocks in this Chakra will affect the upper back, arms, heart and lungs.
Heavy heartedness, grief, pain, and anger can live here.
Sternums pop when the ligaments that attach the ribs to the sternum tighten. Metaphorically, the sternum moves out to protect the heart from further injury.
This typically happens after a tragedy or loss. Our egos (of course…) get involved and by fiat declare our hearts incapable of dealing with the loss. (They'll "break..." after all! - Yikes!)
Of course. Our egos are invested in telling us that we are hard done by, victims, weak and incapable of looking out for ourselves. In other words, our egos are invested in keeping us stuck and in pain. The whys of this are for another article.

The Heart Chakra is the home of emotional processing. In a sense, the Heart Chakra is all about agape (selfless love) and compassion. The heart processes our emotions for us. We grieve and mourn and equally celebrate and laugh uproariously, from the heart. We say, “It feels good to get that off of my chest.” Get it?
The Heart Chakra is associated with the color green or pink. This love center of our human energy system is often the focus in bringing about a healing. Thus, the words "Love Heals All" have great truth. Hurtful situations that can effect our emotional being are divorce or separation, grief through death, emotional abuse, abandonment, adultery. All of these are wounding to the heart chakra. Physical illnesses brought about by heartbreak require that an emotional healing occur along with the physical healing. Learning to love yourself is a powerful first step in securing a healthy fourth chakra. The "wounded child" resides in the heart chakra.

Anahata chakra is the center of the body's vital forces: the origin of the breath, the heart beat, its healing energy, and its inner wisdom and music.
The energy of the fourth chakra is that of expansion. Within the body, this energy is called vyana. It causes the lungs to expand and contract and it moves oxygen throughout the body. This force also drives us to grow and to heal. On a universal level, it is called vayu, represented as the god of wind in Hindu mythology, and is the force that drives the infinite expansion of the universe.
The elemental expression of Anahata is air, a force much more intangible than the elemental components of the lower chakras. It is the opposite of gravity; while gravity contracts and attracts, air expands, pushes things apart, and fills emptiness.
Physiology
The organs associated with Anahata are the lungs, the heart, and the entire cardiovascular system. These are the pumps and delivery systems of prana to the body's many systems.
As air is inhaled through the nose, the olfactory bulbs located at the top of the bridge of the nose absorb prana, in the form of positive ions attached to the oxygen molecules we breathe and delivers it directly to the brain.
As the heart pumps, it circulates blood throughout the body, 45% of which is red blood cells, the primary function of which is to deliver oxygen and remove carbon dioxide, nourishing and detoxifying the body.
These functions are done involuntarily and without thought. In yoga, meditating and concentrating on these actions with reverence and discipline can have profound effects on one's being. Anahata literally means "the center of unstruck sound." When one is quiet, one may hear the inner music of the being that is not perceptible with one's normal faculties.
The endocrine gland associated with the fourth chakra is the thymus gland, located atop the trachea and aorta at the sternum. The thymus gland produces and codes lymphocytes (white blood cells) in response to disease or invading illnesses.

The thymus gland is very active in the early stages of life, but shrinks in puberty. Unhealthy lifestyles that include improper breathing, poor diet, antibiotics, and high levels of negative stress can further weaken the thymus in adulthood, even to the point that it is dysfunctional.
Nurturing the energy of the fourth chakra through breathing, meditation, and asana is vital to maintaining the body's own healing power. The ability to be self-healing contributes to the psycological components of confidence and self-love.
Psychology
Maintaining one's own vitality gives a person the energy and ability to reach out to others, to help, and to heal. Again, this is the expansive nature of Anahata. Compassion and love motivate us to build connections with others.
The healing power of Anahata comes not only through the thymus, but also through the mind-body connection. Our subconscious beliefs about disease and healing affect our ability to heal ourselves and to communicate healing energy to others. Research in this area on such things as placebos reinforce that our belief in the healing power of a treatment or medicine is as important as the science behind it.
Psychologically speaking, a person with a healthy and balanced fourth chakra is physically healthy, compassionate, and empathetic. They have a good sense of self-love and are helpful and intuitive. Someone with energy that is too strong here may be smothering and manipulative, have excessive feelings of guilt, and be hurt easily. If the energy of the fourth chakra is weak, a person may have a depressed immune system, be emotionally cold, lack self-love, be withdrawn and even depressed.
