Things that necessarily make sense are not necessarily representations of the reality they are trying to explain.
If you went by "seeing a few videos," try looking up "magnet motors" and "perpetual motion machines" on YouTube and and languish from the fact that there isn't a single one that works or even shows any promise, yet there are thousands of deluded people who believe they're just a camel's hump away from a major breakthrough.
