Hi, I'm having a hard time with this last question and I'm wondering if someone can either help me out or break it down for me it reads the following:
Ernie hit a baseball and it traveled for 416.2 feet before it lands. when he hits the ball, the ball is between about 2 and 5 feet high. if we ignore air resistance, then physics tells us that thee flight of the baseball can be modeled using a quadratic equation of the form:
y=ax^2+bx+c
Explain why the following equations are poor models of the situation. Give coordinates of points on the graph that support your claim.
c) y=-.002x^2+.879x+3.981
d)-.002x^2+.879x-3.981
