36 hours awake/12 hours asleep

Name: Anonymous 2010-04-11 20:58

So my buddy has been doing a sleep schedule of 36 hours awake and 12 hours asleep, I know generally odd sleep schedules like this have a tendency to be bad for the body, however, I was wondering if this has any negative repercussions. If so, what would it actually do to the body?

Thanks in advance.

Polyphasic sleep is interesting, I've always wanted to try it.  I tired sophmore year of university over spring break. Ended up pussing out and sleeping for 24 hours straight :(

I've been up for 72 hours straight...then the walls told me to go to sleep. I ended up in my bed somehow...don't remember clearly, and I slept for 24 hours, up for 15 min ta piss and shit, then back down for another 10 hours of broken dream-time. It was very interesting. I recorded my dreams, they were none-too thrilling, just space, monsters, lazers, aliens, asteroids, spiders, dinosaurs, burrowing cats (like tremors) that we caught in nets hanging out the back of trucks, this old man would handle these Ferrel beasts and turn them into kittens. Then there was the hike through rocky terrain, around cliff-sides, and down into a cave. There was this one hike where I started out stealing a man's truck in the logging country-side, ran it so hard over downed trees and stumps it ended up in the river and taken down stream. When I tried to follow, I was walking on the water, but I turned around the river became a small trickle down a mud trail and when the rain started pouring, I could literally feel the rain drops, and hear them as they hit my face, shoulders, neck and hands. It was the most clearly vivid dream I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing...next to the lava-bog frog monster from the purple planet that has spaghetti o's for brains that eats people in silver suits. I swear...where do these dreams come from cause srsly, wtf?
