Does the brain  store information like a computer ?

It's a neural network, that reacts to stimuli based on previous stimuli that have formed its state.

Information in a computer is stored in a sequential way.

no.

The way in which the brain stores information is in tier layers. There is the primal, emotional, and logical/visual-spatial layers. Then there are the senses which are layers themselves to events and experiences. Then there is the perception of self layered into this along with all that is known and all that is possible from these experiences and events.

For each perception there is a sense-tier, emotional/feeling-tier, and the reactional-tier. Each tier is layered into one specific memory block where each block contains what are called source and destination points (1,0), where 0 is source and 1 is destination. If both a source and destination can be recalled, they can be easily pulled apart or stretched to find out what lies between each in further detail. At this point, emotional/sensory perception will assist in recalling these memories in full between each source-destination point. This is known as seeking the interim (or the in-between).

Of course, none of this is sequential, as >>2 has stated, however, it is more than likely a combination of tiers or layers of evolution built on top of older evolved genetic information.

Some people want to get rid of it...some people adapt and evolve using it. That's just a couple options to start with.

This btw, is entirely hypothetical...but if you look at 'how' it could be true...you'll begin seeking deviations and assists to support what it is you 'are' looking for and eventually you see that what we use is like a mega-pyramid-scheme-fortune-500 company of a brain and body...the idea is to look at the 'fine-print' you'll begin to see how things layer themselves or integrate or symbioses into our working-systems. You'd be amazed...cause honestly...we're not at any stopping point here...we're still in the midst of the growth!

Don't change these.
