Don't let the "retard" bit fool you, it is not an insult but rather a mild pain killer. "Brufen Retard" is a UK brand name for ibuprofen, marketed in the US as Advil and Motrin.

I fucked up a ligament in my leg a year and a half ago and was taking 400-1600 mg of the shit daily for 8 months. My doctor didn't like it, but the only alternative he offered was rest (LOL no) and something called "Skelaxin" (Metaxalone), which a) didn't do anything for my pain, b) made me dizzy, drowsy, and unable to drive for several hours, and c) cost me a $108 copay for a lousy 20 pills (5 days' worth) thanks to my shitty overpriced US health insurance. Fuck that shit. Did I make the damage much worse, drawing out the ordeal, due to continuing to walk several miles daily on it to do my 70 hour/week high-stress job? Hell yes. Was it worth it? Hell yes. Pushing through the pain got me a better job than I could have hoped for and now I can finally relax and enjoy life. Thank you, ibuprofen (mostly Advil). Fuckken love that shit.
