"laziness"

Name: Anonymous 2010-02-17 4:49

Hello /sci/,
Could you explain to me why people are willing to go out of their way "to be lazy".
Examples:
Walking an extra 20 feet to the automatic door instead of pushing open the other door.
Waiting an additional 5 minutes instead of going up a flight of stairs.
I'm sure you've observed others. Is it just a habit people get into? Has there ever been a study into this.

um hello? You are talking to a fellow human being here. I already know what goes on in my head, and I know I don't know what goes on in other people's heads. How powerful does a man have to be to be victorious?
Know yourself, know your opponent; victory is assured.

Also, asking someone to meet them on your home field is a fool's errand, and only a fool would indulge you in the one place you have experience and skill. I dare you to meet in a mutually exclusive place that neither of us have been, and we can only use skills we have never used. Oh...and bring your fear and anticipation of pain with you...you're going to need them both.

Just to let you know, I'm not skilled, nor practiced in any martial arts...I wonder if you'll use what you know...I would have to guarantee it, yes...you will do only what you know and no more.

See, inside your ego-castle, fucking up your shit.
Here you are denying it while it gets more and more fucked up.

Oh well, just no faith.

:/
