What does /sci/ think of the actuarial profession?

Good career path for mathematics graduates?

No, but I'm thinking of it as a fallback career if I can't get a job as a quant, or if I find I don't like 80 hour weeks. 

I'd go straight into it but it seems a bit like a boring job for boring people, like accountancy, etc.
