What you failed to observe is that pokemon is actually pro evolution. The evolutions seems crazy fast and random but are they? A pokemon evolves only if it gets enough experience or by help of a stone. Now the hidden message should be obvious. Within appropriate chemical cultures, evolution could be altered to occur faster than normal. A bacteria culture would evolve in several days if the medium it is exposed to changes drastically. Like increasing heat, acidity...That is what viruses do actually, they evolve so fast that they become immune to the latest medications. Pokemon only reveals that in a roundabout way, evolution can happen fast if the sufficient conditions are met.
