i think planets and stars and shit are bullshit
if you see something in the sky that's a billion light years away, how do you even know it exists anymore? or just a billion light years ago? and then why doesn't my flashlight shine from LA to NY?

Is this a troll attempt or are you just ignorant?

Well for starters planets aren't a billion light years away.  It takes about 7 hours for light to reach from the sun to Pluto; nothing in this solar system is more than a couple hours away in terms of light travel.

As for the flashlight, it's insignificantly weak compared to the giant nuclear fireballs that are stars.  Not to mention, because  the Earth is curved, you don't even have a direct line of sight from LA to NY.

That's a pretty vague question.  Do you have a specific problem or you just don't know where to start

I've been using the [math] tag and using examples from the TeX page on Wikipedia (lol) but I can't get anything to work.

The quadratic formula is $-b \pm \sqrt{b^2 - 4ac} \over 2a$

See, epic fail ;_;

${\frac{-b \pm \sqrt{b^2 - 4ac}}{2a}}$

I dunno, does this page even support it

You should be able to produce TeX formulae. I've seen it done but can't work it out myself.

you're retarded, the things we see in the sky not in our solar system have probably been gone for years, we receive visual shadows of the past and nothing more

Don't change these.
