x^2 - 16 - x^2 + 6x + 9 - 5 = 0
6x - 12 = 0
6x = 12
x = 2

(x + 4) (x - 4) - (x + 3)^2 - 5 = 0
x^2 - 16 - x^2 - 6x - 9 - 5 = 0
-6x - 30 = 0
6x = -30
x = -5
