It was better for colder, cloudier environments which provided environmental pressure, thats also why a disproportionate amount of our blackskinned friends are still living in mudhutts and chucking spears at each other.

There is no longer an environmental advantage, if whites decided to remove all those who do not share their lovely appearance then it once again would become an advantage.

Advantage/disadvantage is purely dependent on the environment, the environment for humans is largely dependent on what the humans make it(feed back loop) although some things are out of their control.

IE if I wanted to kill off x group, then I will be introducing a new environmental pressure which x group can either adapt to, or die off from.
