bold headings in latex

how to make the headings (\chapter{...}, \section{...}, \subsection{...}, ...) bold? writing \section{\textbf{...}} results in the heading text being bold but not the section number.

What editor are you using? Better yet, who is currently fucking you in the ass, Bill Gates or Steve Jobs?

If its Bill Gates, download TexnicCenter...it literally does all of the work for you. Even an Obama supporter could figure it out.
