Maybe everyone graduated and left? I think a lot of threads in /sci/ are started by people who've learned something new in connection with school work, even disregarding the homework threads.
Beats being one of the boards where traffic picks up during summer, at any rate.

I agree with you, I predominantly posted about things that were interesting which I learnt in school. I'll always return to /sci though, this is the best BBS out there.
