simple math questionz

a pie filling the contains strawberries,cream,flour and sugar, ratio 10:2:4:3
how many mL of each of the other ingredients are needed if 750 mL are strawberries are used ?

Say you had 1 unit of item one with a ratio of 1:9 to item two.  Using your method, you get [1/(1+9)]*1 = .9 units of item two even though there should be 9 times as much.
