Subhuman in need of help

I feel like I don't get challenged as much as I used to back home in Asia. The curriculum here in the UK just focuses on a very limited spectrum of Mathematics and Science. That makes the subject quite useless and the continuous study of theory makes me very skeptical of what I do learn. I would like to have some opinion on what the real life applications of those subjects are and how I can use the resources around me (i.e. internet, library)to my benefit. Help is really appreciated.

What is your level of education? College I assume, but graduate, undergrad, major?
