You occasionally see people setting fire to alcoholic drinks in movies/television shows/bars/etc.
Now, knowing that when ethanol combusts it turns into water and carbon dioxide, does that mean that doing so effectively makes the drinks non-alcoholic?

If I set myself on fire, does that stop me from being alcoholic?

I'm pretty sure combustion stops after a certain alcohol/water ratio is reached.

Only the tiny portion of alcohol that is on the surface that is mixing with air burns off, the rest remains, so no, the drink remains alcoholic.
