Nootropics

Sup intellinons, I'm writing a paper on the effects of Nootropic drugs and their uses as a "study drug" (improving focus and concentration among people undergoing intensive study), and I wonder if you might have any information about them.  I remember reading a topic on /r9k/ about one guy who tried it for himself and noticed a drastic improvement in his focus.  Anyone else have similar testimonials?

Also, does anyone know where I can find documentation relating to official trials in Nootropics?

I'm convinced that if I start taking any of that stuff regularly, I'd just adapt and drop back to base level again, and then I'd have to keep taking it or drop to shit level.
I'd like to know of any studies on long time performance effects.

Well, as far as I can tell so far, most of the stories are BS.  But I read that it showed improved reaction times in elderly motorists with no other mental impairment, and it improved performance in a set of motor tasks set to healthy adults.

Just for giggles, I ordered 100x800mg tablets today.  I'll let you guys know how they work out.
