I'm stumped by a math formula, and it's killing me. I've stared at it too long and it keeps going round in my head and doesn't move anywhere. Look at this thing! It looks so simple!

x = 199s + s^2

How do I s=?

x + (199/2)^2 = (199/2)^2 + 199s + s^2
x + (199/2)^2 = (s + 199/2)^2
s + 199/2 = +/- [x + (199/2)^2]^0.5
s = -199/2 +/- [x + (199/2)^2]^0.5
