Real Analysis help

Hello di/sci/ples (trying it out),

I'm an undergrad math major and generally do very well in my studies. Unfortunately, I don't understand Analysis/Advanced Calculus/whatever you call it.

I guess... maybe I'm missing the big picture (or the arbitrarily small picture)? Is there anything that helped you understand this subject material that you can share?

The ability to sit and think hard for long periods of time.

for me, the fundamentals of analysis made more sense from topological perspective rather than a "real analysis" perspective.

it is not at all uncommon to think of analysis this way. in fact, my first graduate course in analysis was taught from a topology textbook (munkres).

Hum, Real Analysis is quite boring. Understanding the plot is not quite difficult, but that's not how you will be able to do pass your exam, because of all the stupids mystifications that allow you to prove some results.

I agree with >>3 as a topological approach gives you a much better view of how things are. But it won't solve the equations... the only way I know that could lead you to finish the equations is to farm solved homework and try to see where you should use tricks.

Don't change these.
