A degree in baloney

Name: Anonymous 2008-09-07 23:30

Hurray... meh

I got my B.S. In astrophysics last spring. Didn't get into any grad schools because of my average gpa (2.47)

it seems basically impossible to try to get a job related to astrophysics, or science in general with just my bachelors degree and no work experience. do i really need more than a bachelors? Seems like my only option would be to go back and take another undergrad degree (probably physics or math) and get grad courses in the meantime to show schools im capable but that would take 1-2 more years of bills and loans. sic

also during the summer i got 2 temp certifications in teaching physics and earth/space science 6-12 but finding a teaching job in miami dade county seems just as hard

You wouldn't be the first one to move for a job, and you won't be the last.
