Project Euler Problem 44 question

OK, I have a question:

What is minimise?
I am not a native English speaker, and subsequently I do not know. Wikipedia is offering no help.

My task is:
Find the pair of pentagonal numbers, Pj and Pk, for which their sum and difference is pentagonal and D = |Pk-Pj| is minimised; what is the value of D?

So, what does it mean that |Pk-Pj| is minimised?

As small as possible.

It means this is a useless endeavor and you should be doing something more practical.

it means get the fuck back in your own country
