It can't be that difficult to simulate gravity.  It happens on TV shows all the time.

In the distant future, though, I suppose we could rig something like a series of small scale Alcubierre drives (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alcubierre_drive) in a grid or something, though those have thier own problems.
