Mr Peterson is temporarily teaching an eleventh grade class for a month. During the course of this month he becomes very friendly with Bel, a female student. Mr. Peterson suspects that Bel has developed a sexual crush on him and he considers having an "inappropriate" affair with her, but he does not know whether she is yet 16 years old or not. We can assume that 98% of children born in the months January to October were enrolled in school at the correct age (Meaning that these children would be turning 16 in grade 11) 78% of children born in November and 56% of children born in December were enrolled at the correct age, respectively. All children not enrolled at the correct age are enrolled in a later grade. During the course of schooling up to the 11th grade, an average 6% of children are held back a grade and .03% are put up a grade. Assuming that Mr Peterson and Bel's sexual encounter would take place on May 23 and given that the local age of consent is 16, calculate the probability that Mr Peterson would be committing statutory rape.
