LSD ego, parapsychology and chaos

Name: Anonymous 2008-04-27 13:48

In bhuddism, the destruction of your ego, is enlightement. A nirvana. In Holistic Judaism, the pattern found in π is the name of god, and the understanding is to find enlightement. I have done LSD, for a good few years now, on a controlled, non regular basis.
And have of lately used the drug to discover, and identify patterns between The real world, and a world where patterns do not exist(chaos), and the subconsious breaking down as it looks   for patterns in a mindset where such a thing will not become.

From my experience and from discussing with my friends what the effects of LSD are on a more in depth level. these are the stages of understanding on LSD, and how they change as ones ego breaks down, due to the effects of the drug.

1- After dosage, reaction to drug first kicking in.
-ego is intact, and consious mind is mildly confused    because of LSD's "skewd perception"

--------
because a humans is consiensly aware of ones ego. but a ego governed by the sub-consious. The person has to truely be in a good calm peaceful mindset, before the ego will start to break down. Meditation, and healthy happy acitivity daily before the trip will help extreamly. You have to be able to say to yourself without lieing to yourself "I am ready to let my ego go"
--------
now the next step is -if willing to let go of such a large part of human nature.
--------

2 - as the ego drifts. it is good to have others with you who can also relate. others who are with you who are not leaving thier ego behind may not connect to you/you may not connect to them. And may hold negative feeling towards one another.
instances of linear thinking with others who are also letting go with you are common. thoughts and convorsations. oddly falling into place next to eachother by "chance" between one another.
the destruction of the ego is the ability to let anything into your mind that your subconsious would have blocked from your first hand thoughts.

3-as your ego slowly drifts away more and more. you will be able to catch your mind trying to identify and make patterns with the world around you, but this will happen less and less, as you gain control over the fact that, the ability to find patterns is a weakness. when your mindset is in a world where no patterns exist. with this comes great responsability, you must remeber, you are still in the physical world.

for the next step, i will post what brought these ideas to my head. how it happend.

4-I was aware that altough what I was seeing was all just in the real world, normal things, cars, trees, sidewalks, and such, they seemed to be missing the basic structure that made them real, in the world where my mind was. I started thinking, of a word that would fit the situation. And just as the word entered my mind.
my good friend to finish my thought. He said "Everything I see around me says chaos" Once he said that to me everything clicked into place. My ego had compleatly broken down, by this happening,I could see how chaos moved. not in a pattern, always changing. What I have realized is that, Chaos does not have any laws, and it is the blueprints, that our world lays upon, and that many worlds may also lay upon. LSD does not allow us to explore these other worlds, but it does allow our egos to break down. And a mind with no ego, is a mind all eccepting, that anything is possible, and altough we may be bound to our world. our mind is only bound to what we can understand. and our understanding is unlimited when we can understand on a level not bound by patterns.

Great, so LSD makes you think a load of bullshit. What's new?

Having a high IQ makes it pretty easy to break your ego as well, because that's when you realize how stupid it is.

I feel bad for people who have to take LSD to do this.

Actually LSD can fuck up your brain for good in just one try.

Hmm, >>1 isn't all wrong about breaking down the ego's hold over the conscious and Self-Awareness; though perhaps the usage of LSD might throw another chemical into an already chemically-rich environment might not be the best idea. Utilizing outside influences so to better understand ourselves by use of internal interaction has the potential to confuse a lot of issues like patterns. There are patterns in reality, there are patterns in imagination; it's up to each of us as individuals to sort out our own bullshit. For me, the use of drugs to accomplish this is yet another way to avoid confrontation with the Ego. The more we confront the Ego on self-respectable issues that consistantly are bombarded with disrespect is how I am overcoming my own Ego. I find my pride slowly lowering each time I perform activities that are conducive to these realizations. When it comes to patterns, I simply associate that with counting and sounds via numbers and letters. The understanding of common factors and common denominators in these helps to associate with communication and cooperation with people, animals, and all forms of interactivities. And yes, everything that I've written here isn't certain, it's still only conjecture or speculation; after all, how do you symbolize an idea of such magnitude, break it down, and measure it? Patterns of similarity. (Two) oranges, (Three) bananas, and (Four) apples added together equals the same descriptors, but (Two) oranges from canada, (Three) oranges from Florida equals (Five) oranges right? And what is the symbol for five? (5) All of the things I have even typed here are symbols, you're using symbols to interpret ideas that were derived from my own personal research and reasoning. Yes, they will have some flaws in them, but they have the potential to be tempered with cooperation and communication. From my own understanding, what binds us are the things that we repress like morals, ethics, rules and the like assuming that we don't already have these potentials within us already. That's our true bindings. Patterns exist everywhere in nature, but that still needs to be tempered with experimentation, communication, and cooperation. A fair breakdown of this would be like, atoms are to atoms as chromosomes are to chromosomes as molecules are to molecules as cells are to cells as tissue is to tissues as bone is to bone and you being to see seperations of this functions but that is the common factors through patterns. Patterns shouldn't be cross-cut and applied to other issues, but keeping an open mind about the POTENTIAL for something to occur helps with experimentation. Please don't use drugs if you wish to maintain your sanity, health, brain capacity, and life. All drugs are a form of escapism, while some are helpful and healthy and give rise to a potential healthy solution; they also have the potential to destroy. Same goes for water, drowning or nurishment, help, hinder, neutral. That you can be sure of all throughout nature. Help, hinder or neutrality. I suggest reading books from Sun Tzu like the Art of War, also Dan Milman's books like Peaceful Warrior. There is much more to life, but it's my faith that it will be found in the simplist of things. "The Devil thinks like a man, but God thinks of the future." is a very interesting quote from Deja Vu. It got me to think about Potential energy (Visualizing Unified Common Factors) along with reactive observation (waiting to see what happens) is a method known as learning. So much of what we receive or retrieve from the internet, from books, from TV, from word of mouth, and from newspapers has the potential to be misleading due to people's own inability to do this function during activities, yeah the idea is great, but it's still intangible until it is brought into the outside world. Ego=Devil; undesirable human traits repressed=Demons; Self-Awareness=God, it's not us that's God, God is within everything via all of these aspects, in the simplicity of it all and that's where I find my piece of mind, I am able to confront issues directly instead of beating around the bush, I am able to restrict myself from interruption, and still make time available for spontaneous events. Life hands you a bag of dirt and seeds and says, "Here, do something"; what are you going to do?

I pee on your dirt and seeds

Ok, this person would be a firm representative of the childish nature of the human condition, much like RedCream. What I would like to see is everybody's postulation such as this one, but with the identity of each individual within each answer. Are you going to plant that seed nurture it until it produces more then take fruits from that labor and plant some and eat others until you have profits and gains but with growth or are you going to flush them away, eat them, "urinate on them" like >>6, it is what we do with OUR time and OUR imagination and OURselves that matters. What >>6 fails to understand was, the seeds and dirt were given to him to do with what he will, in the process they were essentially his to protect or neglect as he saw fit. If you are beginning to notice some strange similarities with privileges and rights and birth-rights and life-given privileges you'll soon see the state of our human nature. For >>6, it's neglect and disrespect, the nature of his whole entirety as he so eleganty describes. For others, purhaps it will be different. For me, it's profits and gains all the way until I die. Profits by way of sheer quantity of life giving potential. That's my everything. What's your everything?

Resorting to such a strong drug as LSD is completely stupid.  There are a bevy of milder hallucinogenic compounds that are (as a bonus) legal to obtain and take.  In addition, altering your perceptions can be done by will alone.

I don't blame people for trying to change their perceptions.  But LSD is dangerous.  I don't want it to be illegal, but at the same time, we should NOT pretend it's not dangerous.  There is just too great a chance that LSD causes a permanent change in your neurotransmitting complex.  It's a simple rule, folks:  Don't fuck your brain!
