The End of Everything - 10100 years and beyond
When the last black hole evaporates, all that will remain in the Universe are photons of radiation, and elementary particles that escaped capture by black holes. The temperature of the entire Universe will reach a final temperature just above absolute zero

I would have to agree with >>6, it would be arrogant to think that we can AVOID the same fate, but perhaps because we are aware of our vulnerability that gives us a better shot at preparation towards a greater movement. I would say our chances of survival would be 2% as opposed to other creatures 1%. It will only be through self-awareness that we could ever have a chance of hope for potential to succeed where our animal brethren have failed with their lives. The only thing is, I see that the elements that our bodies depend upon are beginning to dwindle and soon so shall we along with all our vast knowledge. Air is being altered into carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide. Did you know that carbon monoxide is more deadly than carbon dioxide? Carbon Monoxide will actually cling to blood cells more tightly than oxygen and actually deprive the brain and body of much needed oxygen. This will decrease all upper-level brain activity, anything to do with neurons will be inhibited. Basically, we will all see each other becoming more and more like our animal brethren until we are no more. This is the debt that must be paid, but who is to pay such a pricy debt? That is a question that can only be answered by the person in the mirror.
