Okay today while sitting in class i was thinking.
we all know that if light go through a prism you will get rainbow. but what if you put another prism after the rainbow? will it turn back to white light? or stay the same?

It depends on whether the prisms are oriented in the same direction or in different directions. If they're oriented oppositely, the second prism will undo the effect of the first. If they're oriented the same way, the second prism will spread out the colors even more.
In other words, the picture the cover of Side of the Moon is correct.

How the hell do you orient prisms 'oppositely'?
The angle of refraction due to a prism is a result of the index of refraction of the air (Where the light is entering from) and the index of refraction of the material the prism is made from. Theres no way to arrange the prism that would reverse the indexes of refraction. They're not going to change so the prism will always spread the light out, not bring it together.
