I have a serious question that maybe you all can help me with before I decide to email moot. Why the hell is this only a text board and not an image board?

Seriously, wouldn't there be some badass science pictures to share? And wouldn't it be a hell of a lot easier and clearer to propose a math problem or solution with an image instead of some shitty half-assed text that fails to show all of the symbols correctly?

I realize that there are other chans that probably have /sci/ as an image board, but why not here?

There's only one /sci/ image worth posting, and the LHC is already at large on all the image boards.

LaTeX support would be nice, actually. There are a bunch of Perl CGI scripts that'll do it (like Mimetex), and they should be too hard to integrate into text boards.

I guess you've all answered my question. Not enough people give enough of a shit about this board. Although I think it still has potential. I know that there are plenty of math and science fags on 4chan. And I think if it were an image board maybe more people would actually make quality posts here.

I think I will start campaigning for this.

420chan has /chem/ which functions pretty well if you ignore the occasional cock picture (and of course, the rest of 420chan, bar /phil/ which is one of theee best *chan boards). A science imageboard on this site would just be trollbait.
