Nigger.

All of them suck. Call me when there's calculators running LISP. (laptops are not allowed on exams, mind you)

Apparently, you can do all the stuff on an HP that you can on a TI, but if you know an HP well enough, you can do it about 10 times as fast.

Unfortunately, I have a TI-89 Silver.

Postfix > prefix.
Which is also why both TI and HP suck now, with their infix niggering.

89 is god among the calculators

LISP/Scheme = phail; only use is comic value

HP calculators support postfix, dumbass.

TI-89: 12MHz Motorola 68000, 256kB RAM, 2MB Flash memory
HP-50G: 203MHz ARM, 512kB RAM, 2MB Flash memory, SD card slot

Feature sets are roughly equivalent, with the HP coming out ahead because of RPN support. HP costs less by about $20.

Enjoy your crappy calculator.

All you need is an 89. Anything you can't do on an 89 cannot be done on anything short of Mathematica/Maple.

lrn2Turing completeness. The only thing Mathematica/Maple can do a TI 89 can't is use more than 256 KB of memory.

Battery life's never been a problem for me.
