Medications

What would the benefits and complications be of taking an anti-depressant (fluoxetine), a mood-stabilizer (lithium), and a stimulant (adderall) be? I have ADD/ADHD, bipolar disorder with lots of depression and some manic states and I hear that it's hard to treat bipolar disorder and ADHD at the same time. But if the bipolar is fixed, I fail at my schoolwork; and if the ADHD is fixed, I end up trying to overdose and become an hero.

I tried taking strattera with my fluoxetine and it was pretty much worthless. I haven't tried adderall yet; so this is what I am curious about.

My little brother is early-onset bipolar, and ADHD, he is on a slew of medications. First of all get a GOOD psychiatrist, someone who has experience with youth, and comes well recomended. DO NOT self medicate.
Second there is no best combination for any mood disorder, everyone requires a different balance of medications, and a GOOD psychiatrist can help you find this.
Also medication isn't a magic solution, you have to want to get better and put some effort in.
