What would the benefits and complications be of taking an anti-depressant (fluoxetine), a mood-stabilizer (lithium), and a stimulant (adderall) be? I have ADD/ADHD, bipolar disorder with lots of depression and some manic states and I hear that it's hard to treat bipolar disorder and ADHD at the same time. But if the bipolar is fixed, I fail at my schoolwork; and if the ADHD is fixed, I end up trying to overdose and become an hero.

I tried taking strattera with my fluoxetine and it was pretty much worthless. I haven't tried adderall yet; so this is what I am curious about.

I again assert, what grounds do you make these claims on?
Do you have experience? Education?

I will submit that there was a time when the field of psychiatry (note psychiatry != psychology) was being first explored until quite recently that they were diagnosis happy, but this does not void the validity of all cases, I would even go so far to say they are still over diagnosing, but this is simply like not limiting domain enough in the endicies: just because a relation is not true for all x does not mean the relation is not true for a limited domain on x.
