Trigonometry, yay!

Hey. I've been stuck with this shitty equation for hours (days rather), which I've simplified from a complex shitequation.

Problem is: I don't know how to continue. I need to solve any values of x in the following equation (which sux):
cos ({2x / 3} + sqrt{3}) + cos({2x / 3} +1) = 2cos(2x / 3) -1

Please, dear 4chan, help me.

if you call that "simplifying" you're a retard.
What was the original question? There's always a more elegant solution.

tan(x) = [cos(sqrt3) - cos(1)]/[3sin(1) + sin(sqrt3)]

where my x is your 2x/3

Just simplify the right side, than make x = tan-1(whatever)

Don't change these.
