Jesus drank wine?

Jesus Didn't Make Alcohol

I'm so sick and tired of hearing idiots defend their drinking by claiming that Jesus drank alcoholic wine.  No He didn't!  Jesus did not make intoxicating wine and you can't prove that from the Scriptures.  I'll tell you why I know He didn't.  The Old Testament clearly warns that God hates "...hands that shed innocent blood" (Proverbs 6:16,17).  If Jesus turned water into intoxicating wine for the wedding quests, then there would be nothing wrong with all the alcohol companies today who manufacture alcoholic beverages.  There would be nothing wrong with selling beer.  There would be nothing wrong with taverns and the trucks that deliver beer.  If Jesus made intoxicating wine for other people to drink, then there would be nothing wrong with alcohol at all.  Are you so foolish to believe this?  Do you actually think that Jesus Christ would risk having someone else's blood on His hands because of alcohol He made?  No way!  Jesus wouldn't gamble with someone's life.

Do you think Jesus was blind to the evil's of alcohol?  Do you think little children weren't being attacked by drunkard mothers and fathers in Jesus' day?  Do you think that drunks weren't getting into fights in Jesus' day?  Do you think Jesus didn't know about the drunkenness of Noah, or the drunkenness of Eli's sons, or the drunkard in Proverbs 23:29-35?  Do you think Jesus didn't know about Proverb 20:1?  Do you think women weren't being gang raped by drunken thugs in Jesus' day?  Do you think people weren't being injured, or killed, because of alcohol in Jesus' day?  Do you think the world had improved since Sodom and Gomorrah?  And let me remind you, Sodom and Gomorrah existed AFTER the flood in Noah's day.  It wasn't long after the flood, that men went right back to their vomit.  Mankind is truly prone to wickedness and destruction.  Don't you tell me that Jesus would risk being guilty of having "...hands that shed innocent blood" (Proverbs 7:16,17), by serving intoxicating wine to others!  No way!  But you say, Jesus expected people to be responsible for their own actions!"  Yes, but Jesus knew, just as any other honest person today knows, that many people AREN'T responsible!!!  Don't you tell me that Jesus would risk some child being beaten, by a drunken father, who drank alcohol that Jesus made!

The entire civil law in the Old Testament teaches RESPONSIBILITY for our actions.  Jesus knew the Word of God better than anyone else.  Don't you dare insult the Son of God by claiming that He would be an accomplice to drunkenness.  Jesus turned the water into the fruit of the vine, NOT fermented (aged) wine.  Furthermore, 1st Corinthians 6:10 declares, "...Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God."  Drunkenness is a sin!  Drunkenness will keep a man out of Heaven!  Please notice the other sins listed in this Scripture.  Is a little stealing ok?  No!  Is a little extortion ok?  No!  Is a little covetousness ok?  No!  So what makes you think that a little drunkenness is ok (a buzz)?  To get a "buzz" is wicked sin!  It only takes a few drinks to get drunk.  Do you think Jesus would help people commit a sin which the Word of God teaches will keep them out of Heaven?  How ignorant, ridiculous, and insulting for anyone to claim that Jesus served intoxicating alcohol to others.  It goes against everything taught in the Bible.

Wine =/= "Drunkenness"

It's called moderation.  Live with it, kthxbai.
