I need to build a mouse trap car for physics. Wheels can't be originally made to be wheels. IE: need to use CDs or something. I want it to go over 40-50 m if possible. Build it for me plz.

I just built it.
Give me your email address so I can mail it to you.

if the nuclei were cube shaped, they'd have 6 faces. When bonds form directly between nuclei, ie. face to face, those bonds are called sigma bonds. perpendicular to the sigma oriented faces are 4 other sides. In a coordinate system, if the sigma bond runs along the x-axis, the other four faces would run along the z-axis and y-axis.
electrons form clouds like balloons out of these sides, and bond kinda like two water droplets sticking together. that type of bond is called a pi bond, and they kind of arch around the initial sigma bond. there can be two pi bonds between nuclei, whereas you can only form one sigma. All in all, when nuclei are triple bonded, that means they share one sigma, and two pi bonds, and their shape is roughly a plus sign that's been stretched out of the plane of the page.

so the trap catches mice by chasing them?

40-50 meters? from the energy stored in the spring of a mouse trap? convert the maximum potential energy stored in the spring to kinetic energy considering the mass to be the total trap mass plus 4 cd's. you'd better make those wheels god damned slick as hell so friction doesn't stop you after a very short distance.

I made one of these once. No way are you getting it to go 40-50 meters. You'll be lucky if you can get it to go 10.

Perfectly doable if you find a large enough hill.

Don't question my distance. I've been trying to figure out if I should make it light, moderate or a heavy car. Light=less friction, but too little weight wouldn't be the best... plus wouldn't the weight add momentum?
Just bouncing off ideas. For two of the wheels, I was going to cut (identical to each other) two cds per wheel or something for spoke type things... then combine the two somehow and have a rubber band type thing going between the two cds. Basically like a bike wheel. Also considering wood for the wheels.
I really just don't want to do my other homework so I thought I'd waste some time typing that.

I thought this was going to be a thread about a car that drov around killing mice. That would be better.

Sorry to let you down.

The snapping spring lights a match on the downstroke. The match ignites a model rocket engine epoxied to the mousetrap. You don't even need wheels.

stick to pencils uner netheith it, chuck on 4 cotten reels as the weels, blue-tack the ends so they dont fall off and then put in on a slope. easy.

I'll throw it at my teachers face and run away.

In that case I've got a mouse trap car called fluffy.
