Does God really need to exist in order to be real?

god(any god) is esencial a tool used to spread ideas and morals
as long as those ideas and morals jold and are linked to "god" god exist(in peoples minds and opininons)
for example if i became a representetive of some religion and said "god dosent exist get on with your lives" id probably be dead because of blind foloweres
so regardles wethere god(or gods) exist aslong as fools folow it it is is real and exists
(gods poweres grow with foloweres no foloweres=god dies(or so to speak))
