I enrolled in a course with the same title as this thread. I need to know: will it take me very long to learn the material presented in this course?
I have done intro calc and elementary linear algebra. How much harder will this course be than that?
Thanks!

ill help you out...
This class is fuckin easy!
First you learn a little bit about number theory, such as sets! EASY!
Then you will learn some proofs... harder
then you will go into easy stuff like statistics
basically this class will jump all over the board, but its easier then linear x10!

I was hoping to hear something like that.
Thank you, kind sir.

Proofs about counting and such could seem a little hard to grasp, but there it usually a very simple concept disguised beneath 12 different symbols for so and so.
SO try and break it down to english first before you memorize the proof.

prof. nigger - fuck him
material: when learning sets remember to use lenz law and sometimes you will forget but need to use grein rule
proofs easy shit if cant do kill urself LLOLOLOLOL
statistics i dropped before got here so you should too

HAHAHAHAHHAAAA!!!
DISCRETE MATHEMATICS!!!
HAHAHAAAAA!
oooh.. ooh... ok.
discrete mathematics is a very... discrete form of mathematics. as a mathematician, i have only recently recognized this as real math... like, honest to goodness math.
dont be expecting to think like you did in any algebraic course, tho... it really is different, and people who find calc and trig and geometry pretty easy, probably wont find this as easy...
just be careful, my friend

discrete math can be easy, can be difficult. Depends on the book and who is teaching it.

Discrete mathematics is a very, very large branch of mathematics that can include anything that doesn't have to do with ennumerably infinite sets. In other words, in calculus, we deal primarily with uncountably infinite sets such as R and C, but in discrete, you deal more with N, Q, and Z, and their properties. Discrete can include abstract algebra, algorithmic mathematics, combinatorics, set theory, graph theory, number theory... there's a huge list.
