Christian conspiracy.  The major victors of WWII were US, Britain, Soviet Union (didn't put much effort into stopping creation of Israel), and China (not involved in European theatre).  Guess what?  The first 2 have a very strong Christian demographic, so it wouldn't be surprising if they made an effort to wait for the right timing to "fulfill" a prophecy.  Israel was already inhabited by many Jews even during WWII.  Making Israel an official country was just a well timed action.
