ok, I'm forgetting basic things.
I(1/(a*x^2-b)dx)
am I supposed to integrate by parts or what?

No
I(1/(ax^2 - b)dx) = 1/a I(1/(x^2 - ab)dx)
No I(1/x^2 - c^2)dx for a constant c is a standard result.
Can't remember the answer right now, but it's something like
(1/c)arctan(x/c)
Look it up in a book.
substitute c = sqr(ab)
