Goals in AFL football are worth 6 points.
Behinds in AFL football are worth 1 point.
2 goals (12 points) + 12 behinds (12 points) = 24 points
If you notice, 2 x 12 also = 24.
so 2.12.24 (2 goals, 12 behinds and 24 points in total) is also 2 x 12 = 24
Construct for me an equation which models this behaviour for all goals and behinds, where the total points amassed by the goals and behinds equal the number of goals multiplied by the number of behinds, using only the variables 'x' and 'y'. You must isolate either 'x' or 'y' on its own on one side of the equation, AND FULL WORKING MUST BE SHOWN.
