refrigerator efficiency

I probably should have asked this earlier, but is an unattended refrigerator more efficient if empty or full?  I'm going to be gone from my apartment for roughly a month, and I'm not sure if I should load it up with water as my roommate suggests.

Given the lack of response, I'll just have to trust my roommate then.

Empty, unplug it.

Refrigerators are inefficient period

Obviously, an unplugged refrigerator is most efficient, but I had some things inside that I didn't want to go bad.
