There exist no subfield K of C with R ⊂ K ⊂ C and R =/= K =/= C.


a,b € R

a+b € R, K,C, as defined for the confines above with R,K and C being fields.

      b(i)= bi

 (a) + bi = a + bi

a + bi € C, K but not for R

So with R  ⊂ K ⊂ C, it is not possible for K to be a subfield of C.
