yeah, this in a quantum computer, but I did a little digging on it and found a couple of shortfalls:
1) they don't know if their current design is scalable. their current computer is still slower than a desktop, even at things that are a quantum computer's specialty, so if it's unscalable, it's pretty useless.
2) they do not believe that it will be able to do code breaking work any faster than any traditional computer using the current design. considering that decryption is expected to be a quantum computer's killer-ap, this is a signifigant drawback.
