If I wished to get involved in this particular movement of Scientific study, what should I take in regards to college/PhD, etc.?

I'm seriously interested here, any help is appreciated.

Oh come on yo, I was chillin' with the Church of Scientology a year or so ago, I'm not stupid enough to fall for that kind of thing again.

ummm

i'd say biomechanics. Since transhumanism is generally enhancing the human body/mind with the help of science, knowing the ins and outs of biology and physics/engineering tiny shit is probably quite primary.
if you're less into the whole "mech" thing, you can work with something like medicine, developing drugs which change the reactions of things in the body, possibly enhancing certain abilities or reducing certain debility, medically.

it's pretty simple really, in most sciences you have the ability to choose there will be a "transhuman" application for it, depending on what kind of the human body/mind you want to alter.

Most likely there is a biotechnology department in a decent university. If you are into gene manipulation and stuff liek that that is useful.
