If culture is too complex to provide proof, then what proof do you have? What do you mean by easy way out? If immigrants tend to have mroe intelligence, after immigration surges why do their children tend to do better? If this is due to genes, it would not be far fetched to assume that the same occurred with the first people to leave Africa and face ice age eurasia.

The tropical regions in Northern Australia have a similiar environment to the rest of oceania. It also has access to rich fishing stocks along it's entire coast. If the Danes could colonise Iceland, in the same position as the Chinese or polynesians they would have colonised the Australian coast at least.
