And God said, let 1 equal ∞.
There, proven.

x^∞ - x^∞ = x^∞ - x^∞
x^1(x^∞ - x^∞) =x^∞(x^∞ - x^∞)
x^1 = x^∞
log(x^1) = log(x^∞)
1logx = ∞logx
1 = ∞

Step 2: x^1(x^∞ - x^∞) =x^∞(x^∞ - x^∞)
if you took out x^∞ from the right side, you'd have x^∞(1-1), not x^∞(x^∞ - x^∞).
The only way you'd be able to get from step 2 to step 3 is if (x^∞ - x^∞) = (1-1)
Which means you divided by 0 going from step 2 to step 3.

Who says we can't, infinity itself is already division by zero.

Considering that you can't have x^∞ without redefining what an exponent is, I'd say he did pretty good.

By that logic 1*0=0=0*5
1=5

YOU ARE FAIL AND DON;T KNOW MATH, infinity isn't a number you can't set anything equal to infinity, it just don't happen.
